WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT?
Once you request an appointment, you will receive an email response or call from us within 48 hours. If you need immediate assistance, please call 911 or go to your nearest hospital. During the initial call, we will answer any questions you might have, and try to gain an understanding of how we may be of assistance to you. If we are the right service provider for you, we will then schedule you for an appointment.
WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER THERAPY?
At this time, Safe Space Mental Health LLC accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL) PPO, Aetna, Multiplan, PHCS, and Optum. We also offer a sliding scale, which is contingent on household income and size.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Everyone's first appointment varies. The content of the first appointment depends on an individual's needs, however in general, during the initial meeting, we will review your intake paperwork and complete an assessment. The assessment allows us to understand your treatment needs and goals. It provides us with relevant background information, which informs how we move forward with services. We will also collaborate with you to develop a plan to help you reach your goals.
